FTTW: Chapter 3 – Little Lucky

Returning to the rented room, the feeling of hunger became more and more distinct. The refrigerator was empty. Cheng Zhou directly cook the wild boar meat he brought back from the other world.

The boar that Cheng Zhou electrocuted in the other world was over 200 catties. After removing off two legs, innards, and blood, it was still around 100 catties. So much meat brought back was enough for Cheng Zhou to eat for several months.

The fragrance of the pork soon spread. Cheng Zhou sliced off a small piece of pork and fed it to a pet mouse at the side.

This pork from the other world should be edible to occupants of that world, but it is hard to say if he can eat it himself.

If the pet mouse does not die, there should be no problem for him to eat it.

Half an hour after the pet mouse ate it, there was nothing unusual. Cheng Zhou decided to try it himself.

The taste of this other world pork was very good. After eating a few pieces of it, Cheng Zhou’s physical strength was quickly replenished, and his hunger was alleviated.

Cheng Zhou was startled again. He didn’t expect that the insect he brought back from the other world could transform.

Cheng Zhou thought of the village head’s worm and guessed that the village head’s one was probably different from his. The worm of the village head might transform into a wheat plant.

Cheng Zhou observed the four-leaf clover in the flowerpot. The four-leaf clover looks somewhat like alfalfa, but alfalfa is mostly three-leaf.

Alfalfa is synonymous with clover. The flower language of clover is very special. One leaf represents prayer, the second leaf represents hope, and the third leaf represents love. If you find a clover with four leaves, the fourth leaf represents happiness.

Just after entering the other world, Cheng Zhou got a worm that can transform into a four-leaf clover. Cheng Zhou thought it might mean he was going to be lucky.

Cheng Zhou was a little exhilarated. He decided to name his worm Little Lucky.

Seeing the worm turning into a clover, Cheng Zhou felt hungry again. He filled another bowl of meat to eat.

After eating four bowls in a row, Cheng Zhou felt the heat in his body slowly rising, his body surging with endless energy.

Cheng Zhou drop on the floor and did push-ups.

Cheng Zhou’s physical fitness is average. He can only do thirty-five push-ups at ordinary times. However, he exceeded his usual performance and did fifty within a short amount of time.

Cheng Zhou suddenly had an epiphany. Since there are insects that can become plants in the other world, then the wild boar in the other world may not be any ordinary wild boar as well. An ordinary one should not be able to withstand the stun baton for so long. This wild boar may have changed his constitution and turned him into a superhuman!

Upon discovering this, Cheng Zhou immediately realized that his previous action of bartering using the “other world wild boar” was a little hasty. Cheng Zhou then gave it another thought and felt relieved.

At least the boar meat he gave up was traded with an insect. Cheng Zhou intuitively knows that he needs the help of these mystical insects to gain a foothold in the other world.

Cheng Zhou went to the seed store and bought some alfalfa, green vegetables, cabbages, and other seeds. Then he went to the pottery store and bought some flowerpots. Cheng Zhou sowed the different seeds into the flowerpots and then summoned the four-leaf clover worm.

When it noticed the seeds of the forage crops (such as alfalfa), Little Lucky called out “Ji ji” twice and seemed extremely excited. Several alfalfa seeds sprouted rapidly and grew to more than twenty centimeters in an instant.

Cheng Zhou took a deep breath and thought to himself: what I guessed was indeed right. It seems that this kind of worm in the other world can only work on plants with the same attributes as itself.

The village head’s insect should be a rye worm, and his own insect should be an alfalfa worm.

Cheng Zhou sighed furtively. He had expected to get a worm to expedite the growth of ginseng, he shou wu (Chinese knotweed), and saffron. Now it seems that there will be some difficulties.

What can alfalfa worms be used for? To grow alfalfa and then raise boars?

Cheng Zhou looked at the meat in the pot and thought, raising boars may be a good choice. He expects he might become a hog tycoon. However, everything needs to be considered in the long run.
